I just finished a prophecy book. Its title is Daniel’s 70th Week and it’s by Nancy A. Burgen. I think I heard about it through Strong Tower Publishing even though I didn’t see it up there when I just checked. This is a PreWrath book, but hear me out before you decide to buy it or not.
The book is only 73 pages long, but it officially ends after 60 pages. The book is essentially a synopsis of the PreWrath Rapture position. There are no argumentations for one view over the other, it is just a proclamation of PreWrath. The reason why there are 13 pages after the book officially ends is because of all the footnote references. Nancy cites mainly Rosenthal and Van Kampen to give us sort of a condensed version of The Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church by Rosenthal and The Sign by Van Kampen combined into one brief overview. All the main tenets of the PreWrath rapture are contained in this short little book.
The author states in the opening that this book could serve as an introduction to the PreWrath Rapture. My view is that this book could serve as a handy reference guide. For instance, you want to know what PreWrath teaches on imminence? Burgen has two pages on the subject in which she has ten footnoted sources from PreWrath literature along with 14 scripture references. This doesn’t leave a whole lot of room for explanation. It’s mainly, this is what PreWrath has to offer, check out these scriptures and other books on the subject. The same thing is done for the seals, trumpets, bowls, beast empires, Matthew 24, and a few other subjects.
So, do I recommend it? My view is that it would serve as a handy reference guide, but this would only be beneficial if you have the other works which are referred to. You can get it for under $7 new, and under $5 used. It wouldn’t cost you much. But you won’t receive any new insights from this book that are not already contained in the works from which Nancy draws.
